Job Title: Rental Desk Client Contact

24-7 Drama London are looking for an experienced individual to become a key member of our rental desk and growing team.

Job Overview

Joining our London based team, the successful candidate will over time become a main point of contact for our clients. They will be responsible for managing client requirements, ensuring they are handled in a personable and professional manner.

The ideal candidate will have a background in the UK film industry, with a working understanding of modern productions requirements. Communication skills are essential and will be put to use fostering meaningful client relationships.

The role is ideally suited to an individual looking for new opportunities to develop their career and to become a key long-term member of our growing team.

Core Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include:

  • Fielding both email and phone call enquiries from our clients; providing accurate information and advice as required in a personable and expedient manner.
  • Creating, building and maintaining fruitful client relationships.
  • Ensuring that hires are appropriately managed from point of initial client contact, through to delivery of equipment and eventual billing.
  • Creating accurate, well presented quotes and invoicing clients as required.
  • Ensuring that equipment is used efficiently and that any shortages are managed in the most cost effective manner possible.
  • Utilising our bespoke rental system to manage hires and track all equipment, ensuring accuracy in all recorded information.
  • Involvement in equipment purchasing decisions, providing for example information on frequent equipment shortages and costs therein.
  • Ensuring that all required administrative office work is completed in a timely manner.

Skills and Requirements

Fluency in English is essential and the ideal candidate will have:

  • An established background in the film industry with a strong understanding of modern production requirements.
  • An understanding of how to negotiate effectively with clients; reaching outcomes that maximise income whilst satisfying clients needs.
  • The ability to remain calm and retain a professional manner under pressure.
  • Excellent numerical aptitude and outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work under time pressure, appropriately prioritising time sensitive tasks.
  • A working knowledge of camera equipment being used by today’s high-end production community.
  • A working understanding of Microsoft Office and good general IT literacy.
  • An enthusiastic, self-motivated and collaborative attitude.

Salary and Working Hours

For the correct candidate, a competitive salary is available, which will be commensurate with experience. Working hours are 8-18:30 Monday to Friday, but due to the nature of our industry, work may occasionally be required outside of these hours. Other benefits include an annual discretionary bonus scheme.
