Full-Frame 4K 10bit Video
The Lumix S5 features a 24 megapixel full-frame CMOS Sensor, which has been optimised to deliver exceptional image quality for both stills and video, while the Dual Native ISO (640/4000 in V-Log) provides a greater level of flexibility when shooting in lower light conditions without the usual increase in visible noise when shooting video.
Furthermore, the LUMIX S5 includes recording modes 4K/50/60p 4:2:0 10bit and 4K/25p 4:2:2 10-bit, plus 4K 8bit with unlimited video recording time. This is a great option for those planning on filming events or documentaries. In the 10-bit setting, 4:2:2 10-bit HDMI output is supported along with simultaneous external drive/SD card recording, which means flexibility and creativity are available whenever you head out on a shoot.
L-Mount
The Lumix S5 has a native L mount, which is a versatile interface with a mount diameter of 51.6mm and a flange distance of 20mm for working with a broad range of optics from leading manufacturers including Panasonic, Leica, and Sigma.
OLED EVF and High Resoluton Photo Mode
Whether you prefer shooting using the full touch capabilities of the 3" 1.84 million dot articulating LCD in both recording and playback modes or the OLED Live Viewfinder have confidence in what you are shooting. The Lumix S5 features a high-resolution 2.36milion dot OLED EVF, which offers a clear 0.74x magnification along with a smooth 60fps or 120fps changeable refresh rate.
The Timelapse and Stop-Motion features offer you that a little extra creativity while the improved High Resolution Mode photos can now be saved directly as a JPEG for extremely detailed, 96 Megapixel equivalent images for those moment when resolution is everything.
Dual Image Stabilisation and V-Log
Image Stabilisation is a requirement for content creators on the run. The 5-axis Dual I.S. II system combines In-body and lens stabilisation giving you up to 6.5 stops of benefit on the LUMIX S5, giving you greater confidence that you will get the shot you need. Advanced Focus Technology
The updated Auto-Focus system in the LUMIX S5 offers all the inherent benefits of a contrast based AF system with improved tracking performance. The updated system features high-speed, high-precision AF, and deep learning technology for recognition of human bodies, heads, faces and eyes as well as animals, for improved reliability.
Bluetooth and WiFi Support
The Lumix S5 features Bluetooth Low Energy (4.2) support, which provides constant connection between your smartphone or table and the camera with minimal power consumption.
For more robust wireless activities, IEEE 802.11ac and b/g/n support is also available for faster transmission and more fluid remote control and monitoring. Furthermore, adding to the camera's wireless connectivity, the Lumix Sync is an iOS and Android app designed to pair with the camera for smartphone or tablet-based remote shooting control and wireless image transferring.

LUMIX 20-60mm f3.5-5.6 Zoom Lens
This wide-to-short telephoto zoom is designed for full-frame L-mount mirrorless cameras, however can also be used with APS-C models where it provides a 30-90mm equivalent focal length range in 35mm FF terms.
The optical formula includes 2 x aspherical elements and a single ultra high refractive index (UHR) element, which both help to minimise distortions and spherical aberrations throughout the zoom range in order to maintain edge-to-edge sharpness and illumination. In addition, 3 x extra-low dispersion elements greatly reduce chromatic aberrations and colour fringing in order to produce a high degree of clarity and colour accuracy.
When it comes to Autofocus, this zoom lens delivers again. Its Stepping AF motor delivers quick and quiet focusing performance that benefits both photo and video applications. The lens can achieve maximum magnification of 0.43x and a minimum focusing distance of 5.9" benefits working with close-up subjects. While the AF/MF switch allows for quick changing between focusing modes.
Working in the elements is easy thanks to the lens' splash, dust, and freeze-proof design rated to -10 C. In addition, a Fluorine Coating has been applied to the front element to prevent dirt and oils from sticking to lens. And last, but not least, a 9 blade aperture blade design allows photographers and video creators to get some exquisite bokeh in the out-of-focus regions of their images and footage.
