Panasonic Lumix GH5 4K Mirrorless Camera (Body Only)
The Panasonic LUMIX GH5 is a Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera that is capable of recording smooth, high-precision 4K 60p/50p and 4:2:2 10-bit 4K video in 25p. It also features '6K PHOTO' mode, which extracts 18 megapixel still images from ultra high-quality video with approx. 9 times the pixel count of Full HD.
20.3 Micro Four Thirds Sensor
The LUMIX GH5 packs a real punch with its high performance Digital Live MOS sensor sporting a whopping 20.3 megapixels and Venus Engine to achieve the ultimate picture quality. Together with the removal of the low-pass filter from the sensor, you can confidently capture the sharpest ever imagery with high dynamic range and artefact free. The LUMIX GH5 is a camera of beauty created by you and crafted by Panasonic engineering.
High Quality 4K/60p, Cinema 4K at 24p, and 4K/25p 10bit 4:2:2 in 400Mbps, Unlimited Recording
The LUMIX GH5 offers the multiple recording modes utilised for cinema, broadcasting, and other professional applications. In addition to 4K 60p/50p, C4K 24p 4:2:2 10-bit ALL-Intra 400Mbps and 4K 30p/25p/24p 4:2:2 10-bit ALL-Intra 400Mbps recording, unlimited recording is offered on all settings.
The LUMIX GH5 is capable of 4:2:2 10-bit real-time image output to an external monitor or recorder via an optional HDMI cable (full size TypeA), while simultaneously providing an internal 4:2:2 10-bit recording. It is suitable for professional video making that requires accurate monitoring of the imagery or high quality recording to external codec devices.
V-LogL (Upgrade)
Users can upgrade their camera to feature V-Log L by purchasing the Upgrade Software Key DMW-SFU1 (sold separately), which enables V-Log L recording. Since V-Log L has the same V-Gamut characteristics as V-Log, LUTs used with V-Log can be used in colour grading. And footage from VariCam series cameras can be seamlessly included in the edit.
6K Anamorphic Recording
6K anamorphic video (4992 x 3744) or 4K anamorphic video (3328 x 2496) is captured in the 4:3 aspect ratio. The Anamorphic De-squeeze Display function means you can shoot while confirming the cinemascope-size image on a monitor.
5-stop Dual I.S. 2
It's difficult to handhold a camera at the best of times, but don't fret: with the 5-axis Dual I.S. 2 (Image Stabilizer), intelligent compensation comes to your aid. This is the equivalent to 5 doublings of exposure duration, meaning you can use a 5-stop slower shutter speed up to tele-end.* The LUMIX GH5 eliminates shake in both body and lens from wide-angle to telephoto setting. It also works in both photo and video recording, including 4K video. The astonishing power of the 5-axis Body I.S. corrects shake for all lenses, even those not equipped with O.I.S.
Super-fast motion detection and focus
Panasonic's innovative DFD (Depth From Defocus) technology is constantly evolving and its just got even better. DFD allows the LUMIX GH5 to calculate focal lens movement by comparing depth of field values of two images at incredibly high speed. By combining the AF drive with a maximum read speed of 480 fps, the LUMIX GH5 can achieve ultra-high-speed Auto Focus in up to 0.05 seconds and 9 fps burst shooting with AFC (12 fps burst shooting with AFS). A newly adopted motion detector accurately tracks fast moving subjects.
Rugged body for a wide range of weather conditions
The magnesium alloy full die-cast frame is highly durable, while sealing helps protect every seam, dial, and button. The camera as a whole is dust- and splash-resistant and designed for use at temperatures as low as -10 °C.
