Panasonic LEICA DG Macro-Elmarit 45mm f2.8 Prime Lens
The 90mm focal length has been one of the most sought after focal lengths for portrait and macro photographers, and not to forget video creators, of course, using the Micro Four Thirds system. And now, thanks to the latest collaboration between Panasonic and optics giant Leica, creatives can benefit from the immaculate images produced by the Leica DG Macro-Elmarit 45mm f2.8 ASPH MEGA OIS from Panasonic.
Optimised for close-up shooting, this macro prime is a short-telephoto, 90mm equivalent prime designed for use with the latest generation Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras. Designed to strict tolerances in collaboration with Leica, this lens's optical design makes use of aspherical and extra-low dispersion glass elements to reduce aberrations and distortion for notable sharpness, clarity, and colour accuracy. Multi-coated elements also contribute to a reduction in lens flare and a floating elements system helps to maintain consistent image quality throughout the focusing range.
As a macro lens, a maximum magnification of 1:1 is possible for life-size rendering, along with a minimum focusing distance of 5.9" for working with close-up subjects. An internal focusing mechanism maintains the overall length of the lens during use and MEGA O.I.S. is also featured to reduce the appearance of camera shake when shooting handheld.
