Panasonic AG-CX370EJ 4K Camcorder with 12G-SDI, IP Live NDI HX2
The latest addition to the Panasonic 4K pro camcorder segment - the CX370 features stunning 4K image quality, IP-based live production capabilities and broadcast-type MXF file formats – all within a compact and lightweight chassis design that enhances mobility.
The Panasonic AG-CX370 is a high-end handheld camcorder designed to meet the demands of modern video production. Building on the acclaimed high performance and usability of its predecessor, the AG-CX350, it features 10-bit 4K recording, a wide-angle high-magnification zoom lens, and HDR-compatible V-Log/HLG as well as manual three-ring control for precise operation.
Expanded functionality in the AG-CX370 includes a new 4-channel audio input terminal with independent volume control for simultaneous recording from up to four microphones. It also incorporates a GENLOCK input terminal for broadcast-quality multi-camera synchronized recording. In addition, the SDI output has been upgraded to 12G-SDI for uncompressed 4K video output, and the IP output now supports NDI HX2, enhancing its operability for live camera applications.
Despite its lightweight and compact design, the AG-CX370 provides professionals with a powerful solution for production, broadcasting, and streaming.
Features and Highlights
The new CX370 builds upon the key functionality of the CX350 with the following upgrades:
12G-SDI Output
The SDI output terminal now supports 12G for high-quality, uncompressed 4K video streaming to the latest video equipment. Simultaneous 4K output via SDI and HDMI is also supported.
GENLOCK Input:
The newly integrated GENLOCK input terminal enables broadcast-quality synchronization in multi-camera systems.
4-channel Audio Input:
The camera features two balanced XLR and a 3.5mm stereo mini-jack input enabling support up to four external microphones or line-level audio for 4-channel 24-bit LPCM audio recording.
4-channel Independent Audio Volume Controls
Each channel has a dedicated volume control for precise manual adjustment.
NDI HX2 Compatible:
Built-in NDI HX2 compatibility is provided for IP-based transmissions and camera control when connected to NDI-compatible devices, such as switchers and decoders. NDI HX2 efficiency ensures smooth, high-quality IP live video production.
Effortless Vertical Video Recording:
A vertical video flag enables ingest/play/edit as a vertical video by using video editing software.
File Transfer Protocol support:
To send recorded clips via wired network, WIFI (AJ-WM50E optional) or USB Tethering with a mobile phone back to the broadcasting station. This streamlines the production workflow and reduces time to air drastically.
The AG-CX350 and CX370 achieve Industrie’s lightest weight of 1.9 kg (body only without a lens hood and a battery pack) in all 4K 10bit recordable fixed lens camcorders (as of Feb.2025, according to Panasonic survey). Its power consumption is 17 W (maximum, when HEVC recording and LCD-On) of lowest class in those camcorders.
