The only way to be in full control of 4K acquisition is to monitor properly on a monitor capable of displaying the native capture resolution and colour space to the best extent possible of cameras feeding the signal.
The new Canon DP-V2410 offer enhanced support for the newly announced C300 Mark II 4K camera and the existing C500. A built-in debayer allows for full 4K Raw monitoring, saving productions money and time.

Sitting alongside the DP-V3010 in Canon’s 4K reference display range, the DP-V2410 delivers stunning 4K 4096x2160 resolution with incredibly accurate colour reproduction, facilitating live shooting for quality control, focusing and exposure confirmation as well as on-set colour management and grading. Expanding the selection of 4K cinema production displays that professionals can choose from, the new DP-V2410 features a Canon-developed image-processing engine for display use, along with an RGB LED backlight system and a newly-developed IPS LCD panel, which combine to deliver faithful colour reproduction and high-resolution, high-contrast images. Its compact, lightweight, design and robust construction gives it exceptional mobility, making the display ideal for use on location during shooting and extremely useful for cinematic works, dramas and television commercials.

At approximately 12kg, the display is approximately 50% lighter than the DP-V3010. To accommodate use in a variety of shooting location environments, the new display is housed within a rugged monoframe metal body and is equipped with a carrying handle and stand. Additionally, the DP-V2410 offers a wide range of features for on-site use including front panel operation buttons and an HDMI terminal capable of displaying 4K 60P video.

The DP-V2410 supports not only the SMPTE ST 2084 standard advocated by the Society of Motion Picture & Television Engineers, developed in response to the rapid adoption of HDR technology in recent years, but also Canon Log and Canon Log2 gamma settings. As such, the device makes possible the HDR display of high dynamic range footage captured by digital cinema cameras.

The DP-V2410 has also been optimised to support the DCI-P3 cinema standard colour space, the ITU-R BT.2020 broadcast standard colour gamut and ACES Proxy (ACES ver. 1.0). Furthermore, the new IPS panel with RGB LED backlight system enables a 2000:1 contrast ratio, whilst Canon’s automatic colour and brightness correction system ensures consistent image quality, colour and luminance, over time.
