The Canon CN7x17 lens can be used for most shooting situations. It offers great versatility thanks to its 7x zoom, and 17-120mm focal length with a maximum T-number of T2.95. The Canon CN7x17 lens is also perfect for ENG-style shooting, where a high quality zoom is required, ideal for broadcasting work such as documentary, narrative drama and factual shoots, as well as corporate and sporting events.

The flexible Canon CN7x17 lens has been designed to be compatible with accessories typically used in movie and broadcast situations. The servo drive unit enables use in broadcast-style recording unlike impractical cine lenses, and is excellent for shooting scenarios where mobility is key. The option for EF and PL-mounts maximises compatibility between different camera systems too.

Not only does the CN7x17 support 4K resolutions, it incorporates an 11-blade diaphragm to show out of focus areas more softly and attractively too. A 3-group inner focus system has been developed to reduce breathing. The focus ring rotation at 180° allows for the balancing of 4K imaging at speed, which is essential for broadcast use.

The Canon CN7x17 also now features metric and imperial markings located on the lens ring, with scale marks on two sides, and the aforementioned flexible focus ring offering both 0.8 and 0.5 gear pitch.

The Canon CN7x17 works as a fantastic companion to the Sony PMW-F5/F55 and ARRI AMIRA, for all types of broadcasting work.
