Ever since it was announced at NAB 2015 back in April, the new Panasonic DVX200 has been at the tip of everyone's tongue. The first of its kind to use a 4K large sensor CMOS sensor and a fixed 13x zoom lens, made by Leica nonetheless, the DVX200 has a lot to offer, but also a lot to prove in an already crowded party. panasonic 4k dvx200 2 Today was quite a special day over here at Visual Impact, as we just received our first DVX200 unit - and it's really a thing of beauty. Panasonic have done an outstanding job with the design of this camera - it fills slick and sturdy, without feeling too heavy or cumbersome. panasonic 4k dvx200 1 From the carbon fibre parts of the body to the bright red translucent cover over the audio controls and SD card slots, to the 13x Leica DICOMAR zoom and the internal UHD and 4K recording up to 50/60p depending on whether you are in a PAL or NTSC country, the DVX200 does offer a lot of bang for £3,400! The touch screen slides out from the top of the handle, which is a very neat feature. The 4.3-inch LCD screen is also a touch screen, which saves a lot of time cycling through the menus and selecting the parameters that work best for your workflow. Features
