Varicam LT

The new OConnor 2560 Fluid Head is often referred to by industry professionals as the "baby brother" to the 2575D as it offers cinematographers even more versatility and choice when it comes to the latest digital cinema camera systems, which are getting more compact with every generation. The 2560 offers the same OConnor patented sinusoidal counterbalance system for true, accurate balance at any point in the tilt range in combination with the company’s step-less, ultra-smooth pan & tilt fluid drag.

Panasonic officially unveiled their latest addition to the Varicam family - the lightweight and compact Varicam LT 4K Super 35 camera. The new camera is a departure from the modular design of its predecessor, however it does share the Varicam DNA and a lot of the features of the 35 as well as bringing some of its own to the table.

Earlier today, Convergent Design announced their flagship Odyssey7Q+ 4K RAW Recorder will support the Raw output on the new Panasonic Varicam LT. This is great news for cinematographers and productions requiring the highest level of digital cinema imagery for VFX and heavy colour grading work. The Varicam LT Raw will be included in the Odyssey7Q+ Raw bundle available to purchase directly from Convergent Design. Panasonic just announced a brand new Varicam LT - lightweight and more compact version of the Varicam 35. The new camera incorporates the same Super 35 4K sensor from the bigger Varicam 35, as well as the massive 14+ stops dynamic range and the unique dual-native ISO features on its bigger brethren. Estimated cost for the body only is around $18K.
