Sony just announced 2 new full-frame lenses. One of them being the highly anticipated 100mm f/2.8 G Master STF OSS lens, which of course features optical image stabilisation, superb bokeh, and world-class sharpness. The other lens that Sony announced is a more budget oriented 85mm f1.8, which many portrait and wedding photographers would appreciate.
You may recall that a few months ago, Sony released the highly anticipated Firmware 8.0 for their Sony PMW-F5 and Sony PMW-F55 cameras. However, it is worth nothing that unlike conventional previous firmware updates this firmware is serial numbers specific meaning that certain F5 and F55 cameras within a serial number range cannot perform the upgrade.
The latest released Sony a6500 footage shows the camera's impressive slow-motion recording and 5-axis built-in stabilisation. There have also been reports of the camera actually shipping in Europe and the States to some early pre-orders. This is good news for those hoping to get the new a6500 under the Christmas tree this year.
