Sony have announced a new entry level camera system - HXC-FB80 - to replace that already very successful HXC-FB75. HXC-FB80 is a HD portable studio camera with 4K upscale and HD HDR capabilities.
Sony continue to improve and enhance their PMW-F5/F55 cameras by adding feature rich firmware updates, this time around in the latest firmware update version 6.0 implementing ProRes HD 4444 with the optional CBK-55PD installed, among other features.
More recently, Australian DP John Stokes, ACS, has been shooting “Winter”, an Australian mystery-drama-thriller television series currently airing on the Seven Network, exclusively on the PMW-55.
