Welcome to the latest issue of our weekly roundup of news from the TV and film industry.. This week we are featuring the new Otus 100mm portrait lens from Zeiss, RODE's second major firmware update for their RODECaster Pro plus the latest firmware updates from Sigma.

Quality at an affordable price is what you get with Sigma lenses and at this years NAB that trend continued with the release of some new lenses and an EF to L lens mount converter. Sigma increased their FF High-Speed Prime line-up at NAB by adding 3 new focal lengths which are ... 

The Sigma Cine 40mm FF High Speed Prime lens, announced at IBC 2018 along with the 28mm and 105mm is now available to purchase just in time for pre-testing at the end of the year. The final one of the trio the 28mm should be available in early 2019.

Sigma have announced the new 60-600mm F4.5-6.3 DG OS HSM Sport lens which is the first 10× optical zoom telephoto lens with a tele end of 600mm ! Quite impressive I think you will agree. This joins the other 4 lenses launched at IBC with a launch date scheduled for October, 2018.

Sigma has released a host of firmware updates for their lenses in June so I thought I would consolidate them in this one blog. For those of you that are new to Sigma they are a lens manufacturer which produce some great lenses for both still and video cameras which have an excellent performance
