The PIX-E series recorders from Video Devices are not just excellent 4K ProRes recorders offering a professional high-bit rate solution to bypass any camera's internal recording codec, but they are also amazing monitors. With the new firmware update version 1.30, Video Devices provides PIX-E5/E5H and PIX-E7 users with an expanded anamorphic de-squeeze options, a new LCD Orientation menu, and support for the ARRI Amira camera.
Video Devices just announced firmware v1.10 for their 4K recorder line including the SDI/HDMI PIX-E and HDMI only PIX-E5H 4K-compatible recording monitors. Now the PIX-E5 and PIX-E5H monitors can record higher frame rates recording via HDMI, features enhanced playback capabilities, and anamorphic desqueeze. The Video Devices PIX-E5 now also supports 4K over SDI.
