After months of anticipation, some beta testers from the filmmaking community have been given the go-ahead from Blackmagic to release some really nice new footage from the URSA Mini 4.6K camera sporting the company's latest sensor.

Announced at NAB 2015, the Video Assist from Blackmagic Design quickly got the attention of video professionals planning on using the monitor in a variety of applications from 1st AC monitor to a director's monitor or just a general purpose monitoring solution for any camera operator.

As with every major industry trade show event such as NAB, Blackmagic Design had a massive booth at IBC 2015 in Amsterdam, which was packed with visitors eager to try the latest gear from the innovative Australian company. The company also announced a few new products and gave us some updates on upcoming kit.

Blackmagic Design today announced the public beta of the free version of Fusion 8, the world’s most advanced visual effects and motion graphics software, is now available for download from the Blackmagic Design website.
