Atomos just announced 2 brand new 4K recorder/monitors with HDR capabilities - the Atomos Ninja Flame and the Shogun Flame. The Atomos Flame Series delivers the world's most advanced 7" field monitor, accurately displaying 10 stops of the luminance detail of Log with 10 bit HDR Post Production colour accuracy for the first time in a field monitor.

A few weeks ago, Atomos quietly released AtomOS 6.51 firmware update, which adds Power Priority mode to the Atomos Shogun as to maximise battery performance when using the Atomos Power Station to power the camera and as back up for the device.

Atomos just released the latest firmware 6.5 for their popular 4K recorders Shogun and Ninja Assassin - some of the new features include Canon C300 Mark II and C500 Raw to ProRes support, more 3D LUTs for the C300 MKII, and improved frame guides including 16:9, 2.4:1, 2.35:1, 1.9:1, 1.85:1 and 4:3.

At IBC, Atomos demonstrates for the first time the 4K 3RU Shogun Studio for Broadcast & Live events, free Shogun upgrades including Canon Raw & Motion Blur time lapse, the 4K HDMI Ninja Assassin at £899 + VAT and price changes on the HD range which see a world first Pro-Res/DNxHR monitor-recorder under £209.
