ARRI expands PCA range with new pro accessories developed for the Sony FS7 and the Varicam 35. In addition to these accessories, ARRI have a new Studio Matte Box – SMB-2 taking the already very popular and highly regarded SMB-1 to the next level.
The ARRI Amira has been very popular with documentary cameraman and becoming the go-to camera for projects requiring ultimate quality images and a flexible workflow. ARRI are committed to expanding the functionality of their docu-style camera and with the latest firmware update they announced, they are turning the AMIRA into a 4K UHD machine.
ARRI have just released the much awaited SUP 2.0 firmware update package, free of charge, for AMIRA users who already have the 4K/UHD license from the ARRI Shop, which unlocks the UHD capabilities of the ARRI documentary camera. Every year in the beginning of April thousands upon thousands of video professionals and industry folks descend upon the desert oasis and get lost in the lavishness of Las Vegas for the biggest broadcast video trade show in the world – The National Association of Broadcasters Show, or simply NAB Show.
It has been a very busy week and a busy month for ARRI. A month ago at BVE 2015 we had the chance to see their “miniaturized” ALEXA Mini (very appropriately named) and just after announcing a new ALEXA SXT camera line-up earlier last week, ARRI have come around and announced a new lens flare sets for their Master Anamorphic series of lenses. Hollywood titans JJ Abrams and Paul Thomas Anderson, a proven anamorphic aficionados, will be particularly excited to hear about these new lens flare sets from ARRI.
Hot off the Press: ARRI is expanding the ALEXA family once again and launching a new Alexa SXT (Super Xtended Technology) digital cinema camera featuring in-camera ProRes 4K UHD (3840 x 2160 pixels) and ProRes True 4K Cine (4096 x 2637 pixels) recording.
