The popular Sony PXW-FS5 and Z150 4K camcorders are getting an HDR boost with upcoming HLG HDR Firmware in July enabling HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) in camera. The Sony FS5 is also getting a paid upgrade enabling 120 frames per second super-slow motion in camera in Full HD. Sony have been championing HDR for quite some time now, recognizing the expanding need for HDR content. Web video platforms and professionals producing corporate or event content are paying more attention to the added value of HDR. There is a massive need to deliver content quickly, without compromising on imaging expression and quality of content. As such, in order to meet this demand, Sony will offer HDR capability on the entry level handheld XDCAM camcorders, PXW-FS5 and PXW-Z150. Both will feature HLG recording for easy file-based workflows, whilst achieving the image quality of HDR. This simple workflow enables the shooting, editing and viewing of HDR content in Hybrid Log Gamma, without the need for additional colour grading. For the FS5, HLG will be supported, in addition to S-Log3. The HLG mode can be set-up quickly through the option of the newly added picture profile. HLG mode will also be supported in the PXW-Z150.   • Support for the enhanced zebra marker function and two types of setting are available. Also the level settings can now be adjusted in 1% increments
