NAB 2016 was the high point of Sony's year so far with the company announcing their latest cutting edge 4K, IP and broadcast technology in Las Vegas yesterday at a live press conference. Sony announced a breakthrough 4K XDCAM camcorder with a 2/3-type 4K imager capable of UHD recording in a variety of formats.
The PXW-Z450 is the addition to the Sony XDCAM shoulder-mount camcorder line-up, equipped with a state-of-the-art 4K 2/3-type Exmor-R CMOS Sensor capable of recording 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) in a variety of codecs including the latest XAVC-Intra, XAVC-L and MPEG2 HD 422, with exceptional weight balance and low power consumption alongside networking features.
The PXW-Z450 features an industry standard B4 lens mount giving camera professional access to a huge variety of 2/3-type broadcast zoom lenses to be attached directly onto the body without the need for an adapter, providing the flexibility to interchange between different lenses at ease.

The PXW-Z450 also offers the same advanced features as the PXW-X400 Full HD camcorder, with exceptional weight balance and low power consumption, alongside excellent networking features such as built-in wireless module, embedded RJ-45 Ethernet 100B-T connector and Near Field Communication (NFC) function for easy Wireless LAN setup and operation via a mobile or tablet with Sony’s Content Browser Mobile application.
