SmallHD release its first ever touchscreen HD video Monitor,
the SmallHD FOCUS. 5-inch Focus is designed to be used with small, low profile cameras such as DSLRs and mirrorless cameras like the
Pansonic Lumix GH5 or Sony A7SII.
Thanks to its daylight viewable 800 nit touchscreen, the SmallHD FOCUS is bright enough to see and sharp enough to focus. The display is 2-3x brighter than most camera LCD screens and has more pixels per inch than an iPad with Retina display.
The monitor comes with a Tilt Arm that guarantees secure attachment on top of the camera via shoe mount. With 180 degrees of vertical rotation the Tilt Arm allows run-and-gun shooters to make quick, smooth monitor adjustments. Included on the FOCUS’ mount is an extra shoe mount for accessories like microphones and video lights.
The touchscreen functionality and the unique tilt arm mounting giving users more viewable and comfortable angles separates the Focus from the already awesome 500 series monitors from SmallHD such as the
SmallHD 501 and
502.
Our goal was simple: to bring filmmakers who are limited by space, time, or budget-a tool to significantly increase the production value of their work, without breaking the bank” said Wes Phillips, SmallHD Co-Founder.
Equipped with auxiliary power out, the SmallHD FOCUS allows shooters to power their camera with the attached Sony L Series battery (extending run-time as much as 4x). SmallHD attempts to resolve battery life issues when shooting with DSLRS or mirrorless cameras.
SmallHD have introduced a professional smart impressive feature on the FOCUS;
Swipe OS. Waveform, False Color, Focus Assist, 3D LUTs, and Pixel Zoom are just a few professional software tools at your finger tips with the SmallHD FOCUS.
The FOCUS is set to begin shipping around early June 2017. To pre-order,
