  1. Panasonic GH5 is the World's First 4K/60p Mirrorless Camera (and it Has 6K Photo Capture too!)

    After months of rumours and anticipation, Panasonic finally unveiled their top end Micro Four Thirds Lumix GH5 camera at the CES 2017 convention in Las Vegas. The Panasonic GH5 takes off where the GH4 left off, and now includes 4K/60p capture, a first for a camera of its class, and also another world's first - 10bit 4:2:2 capture in 4K at 24p to SD cards.

    Blackmagic Camera Update 4.2 is the latest firmware for the popular Blackmagic Design URSA Mini 4.6K camera, which now includes black shading calibration. In addition, the Blackmagic Video Assist and Video Assist 4K get firmware 2.3.1, which functionality with the 3D LUT interface.

  3. Sony PMW-F5/F55 Firmware Update 8.0 Still Available, But Not Online

    You may recall that a few months ago, Sony released the highly anticipated Firmware 8.0 for their Sony PMW-F5 and Sony PMW-F55 cameras. However, it is worth nothing that unlike conventional previous firmware updates this firmware is serial numbers specific meaning that certain F5 and F55 cameras within a serial number range cannot perform the upgrade.

    ARRI PCA for Canon C700 are now available and shipping. ARRI extends their support for the EOS C700 flagship camera from Canon with new viewfinder bracket, top plate and hybrid baseplate. ARRI's pro camera accessories also include support for AMIRA, C300 II, Varicam LT and more.

    The latest released Sony a6500 footage shows the camera's impressive slow-motion recording and 5-axis built-in stabilisation. There have also been reports of the camera actually shipping in Europe and the States to some early pre-orders. This is good news for those hoping to get the new a6500 under the Christmas tree this year.
