Panasonic AV-UHS500 4K Switcher

Back at IBC Panasonic announced a new 4K live switcher and now this switcher is shipping. The Panasonic AV-UHS500 4K Switcher has been designed with portability in mind and geared towards broadcast live events and staging applications. The switcher supports various HD and UHD formats, up and downconversion functions as well as HDR to SDR conversion and BT.2020 support. The switcher provides intuitive and easy integration with Panasonic PTZ cameras, in addition to 12G-SDI, 3G and HDMI support for maximum flexibility.


Blackmagic Camera update 6.8

Blackmagic Design has released a new Camera Update 6.8 for the Pocket 4K and 6K cameras. Blackmagic Camera 6.8 update brings faster mounting for media cards and disks that contain a large number of clips and fixes a lens stabilization issue that prevented EF lens stabilization from being turned on in certain cases. The firmware update also adds an increased vertical resolution of 1720 pixels on the Pocket 4K when filming in 4K the 2.4:1 aspect ratio. Both the Pocket 4K and 6K also benefit from a faster boot-up time with the latest firmware update. Find out more details about Camera Update 6.8 and download it via the link below.


HawkWoods V-Lock Adapter for the FX9

Due to the high demand for additional power for the Sony FX9, HawkWoods has released a new V-Lock Adapter specifically designed for the FX9. The adaptor attaches via the lock in mechanism in the FX9's battery compartment and is also secured on top of the camera. Available in either V-mount or Gold mount, the adapter also provides 2x D-Tap outputs and a 5V USB output for powering accessories. Power is provided via a short DC jack cable via the FX9's DC Input and a low voltage warning LED on top of the adapter is provided to alert the camera operator that the battery is running low.
