Pro camera accessories manufacturer Vocas has released new production kits and accessories for the Sony FX9. Much like the Sony FS7, the FX9 is going to be a very popular camera for corporate and documentary work, but just like the FS7 it will require some extra bits to make it more user-friendly on set.
The Vocas FX9 kits range from a base kit for run and gun work to a full production kit including essential accessories such as a Universal Shoulder Base plate, giving you an optimal balance, a wooden handgrip, viewfinder bracket and top cheese plate for mounting additional accessories. The Vocas production Kits for the Sony FX9 are now in stock and you can try them out together with our first production FX9 at our open day on 11th Dec…full details and register on our website.
Netflix has been the dominant streaming platform for a while now, but new market entrants such as the new Disney+ subscription service are quickly catching up. In an effort to bring the best possible streaming experience to its user base, Netflix has recently implemented a new requirement that all its upcoming original content be shot for HDR. The new HDR requirement has taking some Hollywood DoPs currently in the middle of shoots by surprise. This was the case with DoP Roberto Shaefer, whose latest film screened at the CamerImage cinematography festival in Poland.
Litepanels have released a new major firmware update for their Gemini 2x1 Soft LED panel packed with new features and extended functionality. The latest firmware extends the CCT range from 2700 K all the way up to 10,000 Kelvin in addition to further expanding the Gel library to include 300 of the most popular gels used by cinematographers. The new firmware C1 also adds more DMX control with presets as well as enhanced Bluetooth for better connectivity and responsiveness.
