Aputure 300D Mark II LED

Aputure have been making some killer lighting solutions for indie filmmakers lately and just days ago the company announced the highly anticipated Aputure 300D Mark II LED. Now 20% brighter than its predecessor the 300D Mark II also comes with a brand new hyper efficient 55-degree reflector, a completely re-designed yoke and an-all-new fan-less control box. When coupled with the Fresnel 2X attachment, the Aputure 300D mark II even rivals the lighting output of a 575 HMI, all while offering a very high quality light with a TLCI rating of 97+. The company also unveiled the new Aputure Lantern lighting modifier, which offers an even soft light spread over a wide area and is compatible with both the 300D and 120D COB series.

Irix 150mm T3.0 Macro

Swiss/Korean lens maker Irix is entering the cinema lens market with their first Cine Lens – the Irix 150mm T3.0 Macro. Based on the optical design of the Irix 150mm f2.8 Macro, the new Irix cine lens offers an impressive 11 blade aperture for rounded bokeh, an industry standard 95mm front diameter, 0.8 pitch gear ring and a 270 degree focus throw. The lens will be available in Sony E-mount, Canon EF, Micro Four Thirds and PL mount for use on cinema cameras with pricing to be announced later in the year.
