Litepanels Gemini 2x1 Hard
Industry leading LED lights maker Litepanels has announced their new GEMINI 2x1 HARD panel. Building on the success of the GEMINI 1x1 HARD, the new light features double the real estate and received a significant boost in output of up to 23,000 LUX giving DoPs a powerful LED panel to use on location. The new GEMINI 2x1 HARD matches its impressive output with high degree of accuracy thanks to its TLCI rating of 97. The light features a full-spectrum RGBWW light engine allowing for endless colour combinations, hue, saturation, and intensity control as well as full +/- green correction. An ultralight diffuser as well as a domed diffuser are included, while the innovative lightweight design and battery power provides plenty of creative mounting configurations including dual and quad setups. In addition, the wired and wireless DMX options as well as bluetooth remote control provide extra versatility on set.
Adobe Premiere Pro 22.4
Adobe has released the latest update to Premiere Pro. The new 22.4 update brings significantly faster exports for 10bit 4:2:0 HEVC footage on MacOS thanks to the new hardware acceleration encoding support. AMD GPUs in Windows machines are also getting the same 10x speed increase, while playback and scrubbing of QuickTime screen recordings are now much smoother. This update also brings support for transparency when exporting GIFs for social media content, new graphics tools to help adjust spacing between text and shapes, and support for HDR proxies for a more fluid experience when working with HDR footage.
Tilta Speed Rail Car Mounting Kit
Acclaimed camera and stabilizer accessories maker Tilta has released their highly anticipated Speed Rail Car Mounting Kit for the Hydra Predator Stabilization System. Geared towards productions that specialize in filming car commercials and other fast-paced action sequences, the Mounting Kit allows users to build custom rail support rigs for the Hydra Predator and other shock-absorber systems and includes 2 different lengths speed rails and 4 adjustable mounting clamps. In addition, the kit also comes with four high capacity suction cups each rated at 110 lbs, giving the rigs a rock solid connection to the vehicle, while the Front Tow Hook Adapter allows users to connect the system to any vehicle creating another secure connection.
