Sony HDC-3200
At NAB this year, Sony expanded their range of 4K HDR system cameras with a new HDC-3200 model. Designed as a more affordable version of the HDC-3500, the new 3200 model features a 2/3 inch 4K sensor design with a global shutter achieving an impressive signal-to-noise ratio, while eliminating the jello effect from fast moving objects. The new HDC 3200 camera is ready for HDR workflows with support for BT.2020 colour space, while compatibility with Sony's latest HDLA 3505 and 3501 large lens adaptors, various viewfinders and CCU's ensures even further flexibility for live productions be it sports events, or indoor LED wall studio use. Furthermore, the new 3200 model supports Sony's SR Live workflows and thanks to the optional CCU recording option, 4K video and audio can be recorded directly to the CCU without the need for an external recorder.
Teradek Bolt 4K LT HDMI
Also at NAB, wireless solutions specialist Teradek unveiled their latest addition to the Bolt 4K family. The new Bolt 4K LT HDMI is a new and more affordable latency-free wireless option for videographers and camera operators using HDMI based cameras. The system can transmit video signals up to 4K/30p resolution at up to 230 meters line of sight in addition to offering 10bit 4:2:2 HDR support and an HDMI loop-out on the receiver side. The new Bolt 4K LT HDMI comes also with improved metadata and range compared to previous models, while the cross-compatibility with the rest of the Bolt 4K family enables video to be sent to up to 6 receivers. In addition the transmitter offers multiple mounting points, while the built-in 256 bit encryption ensures the integrity of the transmitted signal.
