This week we are featuring ARRI's expansion of their Approved Certified Pre-owned program that now includes select Lighting fixtures. Tilta's new modular cage for the RED V-RAPTOR 8K cine camera and Blackmagic Design's latest updates to DaVinci Resolve 17.
ARRI Certified Pre-Owned lighting
ARRI expands their Approved Certified Pre-owned program to now also include select Lighting fixtures. Up until recently only pre-owned and refurbished ARRI cameras such as various ALEXA and AMIRA models and lenses were available through this program, however now DoPs and gaffers can purchase pre-owned and refurbished lighting fixtures. At the moment the program includes a few sets of ARRI S60 Skypanels with more options to be added in the future. ARRI CPO lighting fixtures come with a 2 year warranty and are thoroughly inspected, inspected, updated with the latest firmware and overhauled if needed before being dispatched.
Tilta V-Raptor cage
Popular camera accessories maker TILTA has opened pre-orders for their new Camera Rig for the latest RED V-RAPTOR 8K cine camera. Thanks to its modular design, the Tilta Camera Rig system allows DoPs to build their RED DSMC3 camera rig to their preference with Tilta's all new V-Raptor cage, base plate, power module, side + top handles, V-mount battery plate and other accessories. In addition, those that pre-order before February 20th can also choose the limited edition white colour to match their Stormtrooper V-Raptor camera.
DaVinci Resolve 17.4.4
Blackmagic Design has released a new update for DaVinci Resolve 17. The latest 17.4.4 update adds support for the latest Blackmagic RAW 2.3, browser based authentication for Dropbox and YouTube as well as better processing speeds for clips with Fusion effects. In addition, the latest update also adds support for hardware accelerated VP9 decodes and support for encoding 10bit 4:2:2 H.265 formats on Apple silicon powered models alongside general performance and stability improvements.
