ARRI VENICE 2 Accessories, Tokina Vista Primes, Blackmagic Camera 7.7 Update

This week we are featuring ARRI's new line-up of rigging accessories for the Sony VENICE and upcoming VENICE 2 cinema cameras. Tokina's expansion of their Vista Prime lineup and Blackmagic Design's release of Camera Update 7.7 for the URSA Mini Pro 12K.
ARRI VENICE 2 Accessories
ARRI has some great news for current Sony VENICE and future VENICE 2 owner operators and rental houses. The ARRI PCA division has some redesigned accessories for both VENICE models designed to improve your onset workflow when it comes to rigging the VENICE cameras. New accessories include a top cheese plate as well as a completely re-designed flat-top bottom plate, which is now compatible with both the VENICE and VENICE 2 models. Additionally, ARRI also announced new Side Brackets for both VENICE models, which were highly requested by users wanting to have additional mounting options for accessories. According to ARRI the new VENICE pro accessories are likely to be available towards the end of February.
Tokina Vista Primes
Tokina Cinema has announced the company is in development of two new cine lenses in their Vista Prime lineup. The new Tokina 21mm and 29mm T1.5 Vista primes will bring the popular range to a total of 11 full frame cine primes. Full technical specifications have not yet been revealed, however according to Tokina, the new lenses will share the same 114mm front diameter as well as similar weight and size dimensions to the rest of the line-up. Known for their solid image quality and minimal distortion, the new Tokina Vista Primes will be available in early 2022 in various lens mounts including ARRI LPL, Sony E, Canon EF, and traditional PL mount.
Blackmagic Camera 7.7 Update
Blackmagic Design have released Camera Update 7.7 which is now available as a free download. The latest update improves the demosaic algorithm on URSA Mini Pro 12K giving users access to improved colour balance and shadow detail, and reduced moire artefacts. In addition, the update also improves the USB-C connection on the camera and provides better compatibility with ExAscend U.2 disks when used with the URSA Mini Recorder. Camera Update 7.7 also brings more stability improvements to the Blackmagic RAW Premiere Pro plugin and overall performance.
