ALEXA MINI LF SUP 7.1 Beta
ARRI has released a new beta firmware update for the ALEXA MINI LF. The latest SUP 7.1 Beta brings a new 1:1 square anamorphic recording mode in 2.8K, designed to be used with 2x squeeze anamorphic lenses. The new 28K LF 1:1 mode is available in both ARRIRAW and ProRes and is meant to satisfy UHD delivery formats. In addition, the latest SUP 7.1 update also adds new features such as Sync Shift via Camera Access Protocol and Lens Data Archive files for the 12mm and 280mm ARRI Signature Primes, in addition to the 45-135mm and 65-300mm Signature Zoom lenses.
Fujinon SK 35-700mm zoom lens
Fuji recently held a special demo event at a major rental company to showcase its unique Fujinon SK 35-700mm zoom lens. Originally developed for 8K applications, this is currently the only native PL mount box lens, which offers some incredible creative opportunities such as bringing the much desired cinema look to sports and music events. The lens packs an impressive 20x zoom and has a built-in 1.4x extender, which can extend the coverage even more. And thanks to this feature the lens is transformed into a Super35 lens that can be used with the ARRI Amira LIVE and Sony VENICE.
Wooden Camera Ultra Quick Release Articulating Monitor Mount
Wooden Camera has announced an innovative mounting solution for on-set monitors. Their new Ultra Quick Release Articulating Monitor Mount has been designed for production monitors using either the 75mm or 100mm VESA standard. The mount features an ARCA Swiss style Quick Release rail and a maximum payload of 45 lbs. In addition, the Wooden Camera monitor mount offers a wide range of articulation including, a 360 degree rotation, as well as pan and tilt to get the perfect viewing position for your AC, Director, or client on set. And the best part is that this monitor mount will work no just with the latest SmallHD monitors, but also with any third party monitor using the VESA mount system.
