This week we are featuring New EVF brackets from Bright Tangerine, ARRI's beta version of the latest Alexa Mini LF SUP 7.0 firmware and Canon's launch of their first line of 4K PTZ cameras.

Bright Tangerine EVF bracket

Bright Tangerine has a new EVF bracket designed to make it easier for camera operators to adjust the viewfinder on their ALEXA with ease. Also compatible with a wide range of viewfinders including the Sony VENICE, all ARRI viewfinders for ALEXA Mini LF, AMIRA and older ALEXA models, the new Bright Tangerine EVF bracket offers a solid build quality and hassle-free adjustment that will save you time on set. In addition, the AXL EVF bracket works well with the Canon EVF V70 viewfinder and the LM-V2 touchscreen as featured on the Canon C300 Mark III. The AXL EVF bracket allows for one-hand EVF adjustment and also features a drop-free design.

Alexa Mini LF SUP 7.0 beta

ARRI is releasing a beta version of the latest Alexa Mini LF SUP 7.0 firmware adding some much requested Super 35 recording formats. New recording options in Super 35 mode include 3.4K as well as a 2.8K 4 by 3 anamorphic option. In addition, ARRI is also adding two new large format recording options including 4.3K LF 16x9 in both UHD and Full HD. Other new improvements in SUP 7.0 include better Magnification monitoring overlay, more frame line options as well as improved communication with LBUS devices.

Canon PTZ Cameras

Canon has launched their first line of 4K PTZ cameras designed for indoor live streaming of corporate, music, and broadcast events. The top of the range CR-N500 features a 1-inch CMOS sensor, excellent low-light capabilities, Dual Pixel AF, built-in ND filters, a 15x zoom and CLog 3 for more flexibility in post. In addition, the lineup also includes the CR-X500 adds water and dust resistance and making it suitable  for outdoor filming including sports, news/weather coverage, and other broadcast applications. Deliveries expected to commence sometime in the Summer.
