This week we are featuring the lanuch of the Fujinon Premista 19-45mm full-frame cine zoom, Tokina's 9th addition to it's full-frame cine prime line-up with the 65mm T1.5 Vista Cinema Prime as well as Litepanels new firmware update for their Gemini 1x1 and 2x1 soft LED panels.
Fujinon Premista 19-45mm full-frame cine zoom
Fujifilm has officially launched their latest Fujinon Premista 19-45mm full-frame cine zoom. The company announced the development of the third Premiesta zoom lens last Fall adding to the already impressive 28-100mm and 80-250mm Premista cine zooms. While official pricing is yet to be revealed, according to FD Times, Fujifilm is set to officially launch the lens with a presentation on January 28th, at which time we will hopefully get shipping and pricing info. The 19-45mm Premista features a back focus adjustment, a 13 blade iris and as the rest of the Premista range comes equipped with the latest Zeiss extended Data technology.
Tokina 65mm T1.5 Vista Cinema Prime
Tokina just announced their new 65mm T1.5 Vista Cinema Prime, completing their set of 9 full-frame cine primes. The 65mm Vista Prime joins the already announced 40mm T1.5 and offers a unique short telephoto for portraits and close-ups. Designed for the latest large format cameras such as the Sony VENICE and Alexa MINI LF, the massive 46.7mm imaging circle of this lens also covers the RED Monstro 8K. Tokina also says their new lens will even cover Alexa 65 Open Gate in the 2:1 aspect ratio, which is quite impressive. The Tokina 65mm Vista prime will be available in various lens mounts including PL, LPL, Canon EF and Sony E.
Litepanels Gemini firmware update
Litepanels has released a new firmware update for their Gemini 1x1 and 2x1 soft LED panels. The latest firmware gives gaffers and cinematographers even more control over various parameters including the ability to change the colour temperature in CCT mode from 2,700 to 10,000 Kelvin via Bluetooth and the iOS app. In addition, the latest update also gives users more fan control options in CCT, HSI and RGBWW modes over DMX.
