The mirrorless camera market has been booming in the last couple of years, and it has been a market largely dominated by 4K video enabled cameras from the likes of Sony and Panasonic with their GH4, GX80, and Sony A7rII or A7sII. Fuji has been a long time favourite amongst photographers, but their cameras have been lacking exciting video features; that is until now - the new X-T2 has just been announced and it brings a lot of exciting video features. Xt2 The new Fuji X-T2 features the 24.3MP X-Trans CMOS III APS-C sensor with no low-pass filter for extra sharpness and detail, alongside a high-speed image processing engine to deliver outstanding colour fidelity and gradation of tones in both stills and videos with high ISO sensitivity and low noise. The APS-C sensor size if very similar to Super 35, which has been the cinema standard since the dawn of man, so those interested to supplement the video arsenal or get into shooting 4K video with a small camera - the X-T2 can certainly delivery outstanding images - something Fuji have been doing for the past 80 years, making film stock, cameras and lenses. Unlike its predecessor, the new X-T2 flagship now supports 4K video (UHD 3840 x 2160 up to 30fps) and also F-Log for maximum dynamic range. For those looking for slow-motion, you'd have to drop to Full HD where you can shoot at 1080p/60. Making-of: The camera is expected to ship sometime in September this year and cost around £1400 GBP.
