Back in September 2017 the guys at Sachtler and Vinten launched a new tripod system called the Flowtech75 which they said would revolutionise the way you work. Well true to their word it did for many people because of its lightweight construction, fast deployment and ease of set-up. Much of this was due to the revolutionary carbon fibre tripod legs with quick release brakes. Not satisfied with a 75mm bowl and payload of 25kg they have now launched its big brother, the Flowtech100. Which I’m sure you have guessed has a 100mm bowl with a payload capacity of 30kg… so all the advantages of the original Flowtech75 system in a bigger package. To put it through its paces we asked top professional photographer and filmmaker David Newton to give us his view on the Flowtech system in this short video below.
