DJI have officially launched their Ronin-S single hand gimbal stabiliser designed form DSLR and mirrorless cameras. The newest DJI stabiliser features a hefty 3.6kg payload and a reported 12 hour battery life. The Ronin-S also features a slanted back motor providing an unobstructed view of the camera LCD display, while the newly added focus wheel provides focus control for various compatible cameras and lenses.
The Ronin-S gives independent filmmakers the power to capture spontaneous moments with clarity, smoothness, and a refreshing perspective. SmoothTrack applies to all three axes. Hold down the front trigger to transition from Upright to Underslung Mode in one seamless movement with no gimbal framework obstruction. New Sport Mode allows you to capture fast-moving scenes instantly.
The Ronin-S has multiple accessory mounts and you can alter its response to fit your own shooting style. It has a modular design and you can mount it to an RC buggy for low angle shots. The DJI Ronin-S is priced very competitively in the £670 pound range and is expected to start shipping as early as July.
