DJI just announced their most compact and smartest 4K drone to date - the Mavic Pro is so tiny that it can easily fit in a small backpack or even a handbag. The latest personal flying camera from DJI, as the manufacturer prefers to refer to its latest creation, is packed with innovation and the latest drone technology available on the market. Everything about the Mavic Pro has been designed for the optimal comfort and smallest footprint possible. And what's even more amazing is that none of advanced features we are used to seeing in 4K drones have been sacrificed here. Even though the Mavic Pro can fit in a bottle holder, or in a large back pocket, it still can achieve a maximum flight time of 27 minutes and its visual nagivation system is good for up to 7km or 4.3 miles distance. The Mavic Pro can be launched in less than 5 seconds after you taking out of your handbag or backpack - you only have to unfold the four propeller arms and the Mavic is ready to take flight. DJI also announced a brand new re-designed remote controller, which is compatible with Smartphones, and even better yet - for users who don't want to be bothered with a remote - they can just use their smartphone to control the drone. Very impressive stuff indeed. mavic-pro-controller The DJI Mavic Pro is equipped with 4K camera with an integrated 3-axis stabiliser gimbal for smooth photos and videos from the sky. Maximum frame rates in UHD are 30 frames per second, however 25p is also available for us in PAL land. What's more interesting is that the DJI Mavic Pro also supports 4K DCI standard, which is 4096 x 2160 at 24fps or 17:9 as opposed to the broadcast 16:9 UHD standard. Having both 4K options is always a welcomed plus. Slow-motion is possible in Full HD up to 96fps, and even 120fps in 720p HD. The video footage is recorded in a H.264 compression in either .MP4 or .MOV formats for easier integration with both PC editing software and Macs. The Mavic Pro, however is not just for experienced drone flyers; beginners can also take advantage of the simple and intuitive control interaface - users can use their smart phone’s touchscreen - TapFly allows you to direct your Mavic Pro to go wherever you want, avoiding obstacles along the way. When you want to take a hands-free selfie, FlightAutonomy makes it possible to control the drone completely with just your gestures. mavic-pro-dji Tripod Mode is another exciting new feature designed for indoor use, slowing and fine-tuning Mavic Pro’s position and angle based on controller movement inputs to allowing for precision framing and safe indoor flight. There is even a Sports mode, in which the Mavic Pro can zip at speeds of up to 40 mph (64.8 kph), increasing the drone’s agility and responsiveness. Mavic Pro flies smoothly and will remain stable in winds of up to 24 mph (38.5 kph), and uses DJI’s GEO geo-fencing system to help identify restricted areas, preventing flight in locations that might raise safety or security concerns automatically, and helping pilots make smarter decisions about when and where to fly. The price of the DJI Mavic PRO is £999 inc. VAT, and it is scheduled for release later in mid October. To pre-order simply give us a call on 0208 977 1222.
