The latest software update 12.5.4 for one of the industry standard pro colour grading suites - Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Studio adds support for the Touch Bar on the latest Apple MacBook Pro, mp3 decoding on Windows, support for the CR2 Raw still files from the Canon 5D Mark IV and more. Other new additions to the functionality of the grading suite include preserving super white and sub black data when working with ProRes 4:4:4:4, and improved CR2, EXR, and DPX support. Customers working on high dynamic range projects get Rec. 2100 support for DaVinci Resolve colour management, new sliders for Dolby Vision analysis data and new IDT and ODT options for customers using ACES workflows. This version requires a DaVinci Resolve dongle. Resolve 12.5 has been extremely popular not just with URSA Mini 4.6K camera owners and operators, but given its heavy integration of pro NLE features, it has become the go-to suite for many content creators who want to get the maximum out of their footage.
