Just a few minutes ago, Convergent Design announced the release of High Speed Apple ProRes recording directly in Apple ProRes in 4K/UHD up to 60p and in HD up to an amazing 240p to their flagship Odysse7Q+ 4K recorder/monitor. At the moment, no other device can record HD Apple ProRes at 240 frames per second – no camera, no standalone recorder, no computer capture card.

DaVinci Resolve 12 combines professional non-linear video editing with the world’s most advanced color corrector so now you can edit, color correct, finish and deliver all from one system. DaVinci Resolve 12 is completely scalable and resolution independent so it can be used on set, in a small studio or integrated into the largest Hollywood production pipeline.

Avid has been a de-facto motion picture and broadcast industry standard for the past few decades, but in the past few years has faced serious competition from Apple with Final Cut Pro and then X, and more recently with the meteoric rise of Adobe Premiere Pro and the rest of the creative suite. Recently, Avid released Media Composer 8.4 - the latest update to its staple software for professional video editing.

Just now, Convergent Design announced a major revamp of their SSD support and lowered the prices on their media. This revamp will lower costs dramatically for those using the Odyssey7Q+, Odyssey7Q and the Odyssey7 monitor/recorders.

DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G has native 12G-SDI connections for working with the very latest high frame rate 4K equipment over a single, high speed SDI cable. Older, first generation monitors and projectors have quad link 3G-SDI connections that require 4 SDI cables.
