  1. Sony Firmware Roadmap for Broadcast Equipment

    Previously announced back in September at IBC, the new Sony firmware roadmap for PXW shoulder camcorders is now released. All firmware packages are free of charge and are published on sony.co.uk. Before attempting to update to the latest firmware, customers are reminded to read the embedded Version Up guides.

    Sony announces the launch of a range of new high performing G Series CFast 2.0 memory cards "designed to meet the needs of professional photographers and videographers". The Ultra-fast G Series CFast memory cards with up to 510MB/s write speed will be available in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB capabilities.

  3. AtomOS 8.41 Firmware for Sumo19 and Sumo19M

    Atomos release new AtomOS 8.41 firmware for the Sumo HDR production monitors (Sumo19 and Sumo19m). Update version 8.41 improves on the blacks and dynamic back-light control of the previous release, adding further improved black levels and screen response.

    Blackmagic Design announces new powerful 6G-SDI Mini Broadcast Converters and USB Powered Micro Converters at an affordable price. These new models include more advanced features for converting SDI to HDMI and HDMI to SDI. They are more powerful than the previous 3G-SDI and 4K models that they replace.
