Canon expands their line-up of high-end field broadcast lenses by introducing two new 2/3” 4k field lenses earlier today – the UHD DIGISUPER 86 (UJ86x9.3B) and UHD DIGISUPER 90 (UJ90x9B).

Earlier this morning, Canon announced the successor to the legendary EF 35mm f/1.4L USM, - the new 35mm f/1.4L II - the lens is the world’s first to feature Canon’s newly developed Blue Spectrum Refractive optics (BR optics) ensuring sensational image quality across a diverse range of scenes from news and sports scenes to weddings.

Canon is adding more glass to its already impressive line-up of broadcast lenses by announcing earlier today the CJ12ex4.3B, a new 2/3” portable 4K zoom lens with the world’s widest focal length – an incredible 4.3mm, designed for professionals shooting interviews or live broadcast, including sport and news.

Just like they did with their first generation VDSLR cine-vized primes, and later the Cine DS line, Rokinon/Samyang a well known budget lens maker, have this time set their sights even higher - with the brand new XEEN lenses line-up.

Canon recently commissioned a short film called "Connections" which was shot by DP Tim Arasheben on the Canon C500 in 4K via the Convergent Design Odyssey7Q+, rigging from Hollywood based Cinoflex, and shot on only one lens - the mighty Canon 50-1000mm T5.0-8.9 Cine Servo Zoom Lens.
