Well-known budget lens manufacturer Samyang just announced their latest 135mm T2.2 Cine Prime, which is the latest addition to their XEEN cine prime lens range. For those who have already upgraded to shooting in 4K or even higher resolutions, using proper cine lenses is key as pulling focus with stills lenses in high resolutions can be quite challenging.

Blackmagic Design just released Camera Update 3.4, which adds SDI start/stop record trigger support to the Blackmagic Production Camera 4K, as well as support for RP-188 timecode over SDI. The firmware update is free of charge for BMPC owners and also provides a SMPTE update for the 6G-SDI output making the Production Camera 4K compatible with a larger range of external devices.

Atomos just released firmware 7.1 or AtomOS 7.1 for their latest Flame Series HDR Monitors/Recorders - namely the Atomos Shogun Flame and Ninja Flame. The latest firmware update adds HDR support for JVC Log and all current RED Digital Cinema cameras including DSMC 2 camera bodies like the Red Raven and Red Scarlet-W.
