Canon is adding more glass to its already impressive line-up of broadcast lenses by announcing earlier today the CJ12ex4.3B, a new 2/3” portable 4K zoom lens with the world’s widest focal length – an incredible 4.3mm, designed for professionals shooting interviews or live broadcast, including sport and news. Canon also today announces that it is developing another new compact 2/3” 4K all-purpose-zoom lens. Further bolstering Canon’s 4K broadcast lens range for cameras employing 2/3” sensors, the versatile new lens will be optimised for both indoor and outdoor shooting, across a variety of applications including, sporting events, live broadcasts, as well as television dramas and commercials. CJ12ex4.3B FSL This is certainly great news for lighting camera professionals and DoP's who needs the zoom range and also to future-proof their purchase for the upcoming transition into 4K acquisition on a broadcast level. The impressive 4.3mm ultra-wide angle features a 12x zoom with outstanding image quality throughout the range. Maxing out at 104mm (in 2/3 inch B4 terms) the new Canon 4K CJ12ex4.3B lens is set on becoming another favourite lens for wildlife, documentary and a wide range of ENG productions.
