Brooklyphono is a mini documentary about vinyl pressing shot on the Canon EOS C300 Mark II. Check out the behind the scenes videos where documentary cinematographer Matt Porwoll discusses the camera setup used in shooting the short documentary, his lighting setup for the interview parts, as well as resolution, colour space and log gamma available on the C300 Mark II. Cinematographer Matt Porwoll configured a couple of C300 Mark II in two handheld configurations to suit his style. The first setup was based around the ARRI baseplate and top handle for the C300 MKII, and the Gratical HD EVF from Zacuto as his main exposure/focus tool. The Canon's top LCD monitor was mounted to the side as to allow him to be able to shoot from the hip while still managing his frame via the LCD monitor and not hunch down to look through the Gratical EVF. This rig uses the Canon CN-E 15.5-47mm T2.8 cine zoom lens. Zacuto C300 Cn7 rig The 2nd setup was based around the Zacuto C300 mark II dedicated rig and the CN-E 17-120mm T2.95 CN7x17 Cine-Servo zoom lens, which has been very popular with broadcast and documentary DoPs. For the interview sections, Matt used a Cineo HS LED light from Cineo Lighting as a key light in a book light configuration for a more pleasing soft look, with an Astra 1x1 Bi-Colour acting as a back light. Scorpion lights were used to accent the details of the machines in the factory and a 1x1 Litepanels was used to lift up the ambient levels a bit. Canon C300 mark II Highlights
