Referred to as the biggest release in the history of the software, today Blackmagic Design announced DaVinci Resolve 14. The upgrade that focuses specifically on solving some of the bigger problems in post production. Originally designed for Hollywood’s elite colourists, DaVinci Resolve has been used on more feature films and TV shows than anything else because it lets you create images that are simply impossible with other tools. Now, with DaVinci Resolve 14, users get incredible new Fairlight audio tools particularly designed for film and television post production. Blackmagic adds dramatic performance gains in the DaVinci Resolve 14 making it 10x faster than the previous release and much more responsive. The update has hundred of new features for editors, colourists and for the first time,  audio professionals. With the integration of  Fairlight audio enabling a range of audio tools that weren't available before, It can play back up to 1000 tracks with parametric EQ, dynamics and plug ins on every track, all in real-time, making it extremely powerful. The face enhancement tool which includes features like facial recognition and tracking for quickly smoothing skin tones, brightening eyes, changing lip colour are some of the features colourists will be excited about.
