Blackmagic Design Camera 4.0 Update is now officially released. Camera 4.0 is a major update to the user interface of the URSA Mini and much more. Thanks to Camera 4.0, the user experience with the
URSA Mini 4K and
URSA Mini 4.6K is completely overhauled giving users more intuitive and simplified access to the camera parameters.
The new URSA Mini operating system, which gives users a slick new and more intuitive interface has been around as a beta software version for a while now, and after taking feedback from early adopters, Blackmagic Design have now released it for public use. The new OS is only available for the URSA Mini 4K and 4.6K models at this stage.
Blackmagic Camera 4.0 includes a new user interface with simple tap and swipe gestures for faster access to camera controls and settings, new exposure and focus assist tools, and much more. In addition, the latest firmware update also provides enhancements to the Blackmagic URSA Viewfinder such as improved colourimetry, sensitivity of the proximity sensor and adds support for the new URSA Mini camera OS metadata settings, new frame guides, safe areas, grids and menu items for configuring overlay settings.
