Fujifilm have just launched a couple of brand new cinema lenses part of their new MK Series. The new lenses include an MK 18-55mm T2.9 and a 50-135mm T2.9 specifically designed for E-mount cameras such as the Sony FS7 II, FS7, and PXW-FS5 just to name a few. The new cinema lenses feature advanced optical performance, ultra-compact and lightweight design, as well as superb cost performance.
At the start of the CP+ photo exhibition in Japan earlier this morning, SIGMA announced four new lenses including the world’s first f/1.8, ultra-wide 14mm prime, The new Sigma 14mm f1.8 covers full-frame sensors and is designed for high resolution cameras making it ideal for architecture, astrophotography, documentary and landscapes.
Panasonic released the latest firmware update version 5.0 for their Varicam LT Super 35 cinema camera. The latest update features the addition of the much requested 2K ProRes recording format including ProRes 4444 XQ. The latest codec addition to the already versatile Varicam LT makes the camera even more appealing to single operators specialising in narrative drama or commercials.
