With so many exciting cameras, new lighting solutions and audio kit this year, it wasn't easy to pick the stand-out product of the year for us, but after careful considerations we came to the conclusion the Sony FS5 ticked all the major boxes for professional video production.

ARRI have some exciting news for AMIRA and ALEXA Mini owners. Both cameras have not only been extremely popular on all sorts of productions from documentaries, to high-end promos, commercials and feature films and they just keep getting better and better with every firmware update.

Video Devices just announced firmware v1.10 for their 4K recorder line including the SDI/HDMI PIX-E and HDMI only PIX-E5H 4K-compatible recording monitors. Now the PIX-E5 and PIX-E5H monitors can record higher frame rates recording via HDMI, features enhanced playback capabilities, and anamorphic desqueeze. The Video Devices PIX-E5 now also supports 4K over SDI.

AJA just introduced their latest external recorder - the Ki Pro Ultra. It is a next generation file-based 4K/UltraHD/2K/HD video recorder and player with a built-in HD LCD monitor; capable of capturing edit-ready Apple ProRes files in a range of video formats and frame rates up to 4K 60p.
