Sony Battery Station for Airpeak S1
Sony has announced a new must-have accessory for their AirPeak S1 drone. The all new Battery Station gives professional drone pilots flying the Airpeak S1 drone the ability to efficiently charge up-to 8 batteries at the same time, as well as serve as a convenient battery storage for up to 10 batteries. Housed in a rugged travel-friendly case, the Battery Station includes a Quick charge mode, which takes about 30 minutes to charge a battery to 90% and a Full charging mode, which charges up to 100% in approximately 50 minutes. Each slot is equipped with a built-in cooling fan for improved thermal management, while the accessory power ports can be used to charge controllers, mobile devices, and even your camera. The Battery Station can also discharge up to 8 batteries simultaneously, which is great for travel or long term storage.
Tilta Hydra Arm Mini
Tilta has introduced the Hydra Arm Mini, which according to them is the first portable camera vehicle crane that meets the quality and requirements of top cinematographers at an affordable price point. Designed for the latest generation pro gimbals such as the DJI RS2 and RS3 Pro, the vehicle mounted crane is compatible with other pro gimbals such as the Ronin 4D camera and the Freefly Movi Pro. Cinematographers can use other gimbal/camera combinations under the 10 kg max payload, while the counterweight-free design makes it a lot easier and quicker to set up the crane on top of the vehicle. Perfect for action cinematography, the Hydra Arm Mini can operate in harsh weather conditions at up to -15 C, and withstand speeds of up to 74 mph.
Viltrox EPIC Anamorphics
Popular stills lens and adapters maker Viltrox has released more details about their EPIC series of full-frame anamorphic lenses. Featuring a maximum aperture of T2.0 and a 1.33x squeeze factor, the set consists of three lenses at this stage - a 35mm, a 50mm, and a 75mm. ARRI PL is the only available lens mount and each lens comes in at around 2 kg. The weight reflects the lens' solid build quality and modern design with an 8 blade aperture and a 290 degree focus throw. The lenses also have a uniform 95mm front and share the same weight making lens swaps in the field when working with gimbals a hassle-free experience. The Viltrox EPIC anamorphics provide a cinematic look characterized by a sharp centre and organic and softer edges complimented by vintage blue light streaks.
