The benchmark against all cine zooms are often measured, the Angenieux Optimo series stand in a league of their own. The brand has been setting the standard for optics technology and performance, and the Optimo line of zoom lenses has been proven through years of use in the field on every type of production from TV series, to Hollywood blockbusters, major music events, commercials, and sports events. 

The 19.5-94mm T2.6 Optimo zoom is often paired with the industry titans the Optimo 12x zooms, and is also referred to as a "variable prime" thanks to its impeccable image quality even at wide open apertures. 

The lens has been designed to conver Super 35 sensors, however it does offer a slightly larger image circle compared to the Optimo 17-80mm, which it superseeds. The internal focus and zoom design ensure consistency in the length of the lens, which is important especially when using it on Steadicam or other stabilising device. 

Available in PL mount, this lens can also be converted to a Panavision or EF mount by certified engineers. The image circle coverage is expanded from 31.4mm to 35mm and a half when using the Optimo 1.4x and 2x extenders.
